“Creativity in Motion: Play Therapy
and Art Therapy” Presented by Lisa Falls, MPS, LPCC, ATR-BC, MFA (A FREE 1.5 CE Workshop)

Workshop Objectives: After the session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify at least five examples of types of emotional issues that can be addressed through the use of play and art therapy, and when it is appropriate to refer to other professionals.
2. Apply art and play therapy skills as tools in healing trauma, using an attachment approach.
3. Demonstrate an art directive which enhances the understanding of art interventions in play therapy.
This workshop meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education as required by the Association for Play Therapy (APT). The California Association for Play Therapy (CALAPT) is approved by APT to offer continuing education specific to play therapy (provider # 00-094). CALAPT maintains responsibility for the program. Art and Play Therapy are powerful avenues for communication between therapist, children and families. Utilizing object relations and attachment approaches, this workshop is designed to encourage the empowerment of children through art and play, within a safe environment. Creativity in motion is accessed through movement and using all of your senses to feel alive and experience the power of connection.
Presenter: Lisa Falls is an artist, Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC 00-101) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 569), in Private Practice in San Diego. She works with individuals, families and couples and has been in the field for 25 years. She has an EFT Certificate of Completion and a NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Advanced Certification.
