Throughout the summer, we've been bringing beloved family films to the big screen—each inspired by a book that readers can discover at Firefly.

Our sixth and final feature of the season is The Bad Guys (2022). Based on the bestselling children's graphic novel series by Aaron Blabey, The Bad Guys follows a notorious crew of animal outlaws who decide that perhaps being heroes might be more rewarding than being villains. Led by the charismatic Mr. Wolf, the gang embarks on a series of increasingly chaotic attempts to reform their reputation—whether they're ready for it or not. Filled with fast-paced action, clever humor, and memorable characters, The Bad Guys is a fun adventure that explores friendship, trust, second chances, and the idea that people can choose who they want to become.

This series is part of our ongoing partnership with the Kutztown Strand Theater and our shared commitment to bringing family-friendly cultural events to the community. Moviegoers have also had the opportunity to explore the books behind the films, and Firefly has been hosting a ticket raffle throughout the series.

Whether you're already a fan of Aaron Blabey's wildly popular books or are discovering these characters for the first time, we hope you'll join us for one final afternoon of books, movies, and community.

The Bad Guys will be shown at the Kutztown Strand Theater on Sunday, August 30th at 2:00 PM. Tickets are only $5. There will be concessions available. We look forward to seeing you there as we wrap up another successful summer celebrating stories brought to life on the big screen.
