Akvarelleista ja vahavaloksista koostuva näyttely upottaa kokijan kevättulvaan, jonka moskaisissa vesissä heijastuvat ilmastonmuutoksen arvaamattomat säät, tuhottujen metsien muuttuneet virtaukset sekä yli äyräiden tulvivat ajatukset. 

Teoksien tulvat ovat päänsisäisiä kasaumia ja yhtäkkisiä purkauksia, sekä uhkaavasti ilmastonmuutoksen takia nousevaa veden pintaa. Ne ovat sekä psykologisia kauhun lätäköitä hallitsemattomien muutosten äärellä että valtoimenaan tulvimaan päässeitä ympäristöjä ja eloa niissä. Rinnakkain epävarmuuden ja pelon kanssa on nautintoa ja antautumista, vesileikkejä. Kylpemistä onnistuneen suunnan muutoksen sopeutumisen vesissä.

Teoksissa tulvahtavat solunesteet, munien ruskuaispussit, juurien ydinmehut. Maatumisen hämärästä itää uusi kevät ja elo.

Sirkku Rosi työskentelee ruumiillisten akvarellien, maalauksista laajentuvien veistoksellisten elementtien ja performatiivisen liikkeen parissa. Rosi tutkii praktiikassaan ruumiillisen ja kuvallisen taiteen yhteyttä ja elettyä kehoa. Häntä kiinnostaa akvarellin materiaaliset mahdollisuudet, jaettu oleminen ja sen erilaisten ilmentymien jatkuva vuotaminen toisiinsa; teoksissa erilaiset olemiset kasvavat toisistaan. Rosin akvarellien huokoisessa olemisessa hahmot vuotavat visvaa ja mahlaa, kasvit ja karvat kukoistavat.

Rosin teoksia on ollut esillä Mäntän kuvataideviikoilla, Tampereen taidemuseossa ja Lappeenrannan Taidemuseossa sekä useissa gallerioissa Suomessa sekä ulkomailla. Rosi on valmistunut maisteriksi sekä Aalto yliopistosta (2015) että Kuvataideakatemiasta (2024) ja suorittanut tanssipedagogiikan perusopinnot (2018). Hän työskennellyt mm. HIAPin alumniresidenssissä 2024-25 ja Pariisin Citéen residenssissä 2025. Hänen teoksiaan kuuluu Nordiska Akvarellmuseetin, Valtion sekä Tampereen Taidemuseon kokoelmiin yksityiskokoelmien lisäksi.

An exhibition composed of watercolors and wax casts immerses the viewer in a spring flood, in whose murky waters are reflected the unpredictable weather of climate change, the altered flows of destroyed forests, and thoughts overflowing their banks.

The floods in the works are accumulations within the mind and sudden outbursts, as well as the ominously rising water levels caused by climate change. They are both psychological puddles of horror in the face of uncontrollable change and environments and life within them unleashed to flood freely. Alongside uncertainty and fear, there is also pleasure and surrender—water play. Bathing in the waters of a successfully adapted change of direction, new currents.

In the works surge cellular fluids, the yolk sacs of eggs, the core saps of roots. From the dimness of decay, a new spring and life begin to sprout.

Sirkku Rosi creates watercolours from bodily experiences, sculptural elements expanding from paintings and works also in the field of performance art. She is intrigued by the research of flesh, the shared nature of cellular existence, the fragility of paper and our porous skin as a leaky boundary between humans and our environment. In Rosi’s work, sensual bodies lurk, birth and decompose. The twisting curves of intestines are a map to the garden, and organs penetrate through the skin like stones polished through time. Also Her work is a restrained carnival of flesh. She wants to challenge the boundaries of watercolors.

Rosi’s works have been exhibited at the Mänttä Art Festival, the Tampere Art Museum, Lappeenranta Art Museum and in numerous galleries in Finland and abroad. She holds master’s degrees from both Aalto University (2015) and the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki (2024), and has completed basic studies in dance pedagogy (2018). She has worked in the HIAP alumni residency (2024-25) and at the Cité Internationale des Arts residency in Paris (2025) among other residency programs. Her works are included in the collections of the Nordiska Akvarell Museet, the Finnish State Art Collection, the Tampere Art Museum, Tampere City and Basware collection  as well as in  private collections.
