Join us for an unforgettable 7-day (6-night) Watercolour Painting workshop in the stunning East Kimberley, staying on an iconic Kimberley cattle station. We'll pick you up from Kununurra airport!
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the Cockburn Ranges where you'll create art and paintings under the expert guidance of watercolourist, Jude Scott.
✨ What to Expect:
* Scenic Location: Paint en plain air and under shaded verandahs at the station; take short excursions to inspiring locations along the river, on marsh land, wetlands, billabongs and gorges.
* Comfortable work area: Work in the shade of our spacious, cool verandahs with your own large table.
* Expert Tuition: Learn invaluable watercolour painting techniques from Jude Scott, a leading watercolour painter and teacher from Perth WA who has tutored with On The Verandah for five years.
* Exploration & Inspiration: Outings to Marlgu Billabong (RAMSAR bird wetland) and historic Wyndham.
* Community & Connection: Experience the sense of community on a vibrant cattle station and meet fellow art enthusiasts.
* Final Night Exhibition: Showcase your masterpieces in a mini exhibition and celebrate the creative journey!
* Delicious Meals: All meals are freshly prepared onsite by the Digger’s Rest Station team.
* Accommodation: Go solo or as a couple in a Bush Hut with DBL or SGL bed; twin share in a bunkhouse room in a DBL or SGL bed; or stay solo in a comfy stand-up tent with a SGL bed on a frame.
* What will you learn?
Themes of painting you’ll be doing include landscape, flora, portraiture, people in the landscape. Jude demonstrates a wide variety of brush techniques and demonstrates how to achieve reflections, clouds, skies, trees, capturing a likeness, translucency in petals and more.

Having worked as a professional watercolour artist and teacher of art for over 20 years, Jude, from Perth Western Australia specialises in watercolour and is represented in private and public collections in Australia, Italy, Japan and China. Jude's desire to create beautiful artworks is inspired primarily by the diversity in light, colour and clarity of the landscapes she has experienced while travelling Australia.

Beginners to advanced artists are encouraged to come and extend their skills and enjoy a unique, remote landscape. Max group size is 11.
