Only those who have completed Eventbrite registration and received a confirmation email may attend, including attendees needed for accessibility assistance.Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a relaxed birding outing along a scenic stretch of the Kuna Greenbelt, a 1.7-mile out‑and‑back trail that follows the creek corridor through town. We’ll take our time, moving at an easy pace as we look and listen for some of our favorite spring and summer birds. Along the way we’ll watch for a variety of songbirds including flashy yellow Northern Yellow Warblers and American Goldfinches in their breeding plumage. Other notable species of this area include Bank Swallows, Western Kingbirds, California Quail, Downy Woodpeckers, and Black-chinned Hummingbirds.We will use the same path out and back, giving us a second chance to catch anything we might have missed the first time. The route is mostly paved, but some sections can be uneven or sloped, so please wear comfortable, sturdy footwear and be prepared for short inclines and surface changes.This outing is designed to be slow and enjoyable, with plenty of stops to observe behavior, learn bird songs, and practice using binoculars.Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L10939467Accessibility: This trip may be accessible for those with mobility disabilities that are comfortable with traveling on un-paved and uneven trails, and is on paved paths that are ADA accessible. This trip may be accessible for those with blind and/or low vision, and there will be opportunities for birding by ear. Field Trip Leaders will help with bird identification and questions, but are not able to provide one-on-one physical aid or navigational assistance (including sighted guiding) on our trips. Participants are always welcome to arrange any assistance they may need in the field! Please ensure that any assistant is registered to attend this event. Use the special needs question in the registration form to let us know more about your accessibility needs and how we can best support your participation.Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available to borrow if needed.Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.Time: 7:30am-9:30am.
