The 2026 FNB Varsity Shield competition is ready to once again showcase the best of student rugby the country has to offer.
The countdown is on for South Africa’s most exciting & competitive student rugby tournaments! The country’s top universities are gearing up to deliver next-level rugby action as the best student players go head-to-head in front of passionate fans at packed stadiums nationwide. The excitement kicks off with the Varsity Shield competition on Friday, 20 Feb.

Gates open 2 hours before game time.

NB:T-shirts can be collected at UWC Stadium a day before the match and sizes will be on a first come first serve basis for packages.
