- **Event Description**: One year ago, around this time, the Ax-4 mission was about to begin, carrying with it something  special - IGNIS?, the first Polish scientific and technological mission to the International Space Station!

Among the 13 experiments conducted within IGNIS was our project: MXene in LEO, developed at AGH University of Krakow. An experiment that took advanced MXene nanomaterials into space to study their behaviour in microgravity and test wearable sensor technology in real orbital conditions. The testing was conducted by Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski ?‍? 

Today, one year later, we are coming back to show that the MXene in LEO’s story is still unfolding.

We are pleased to invite you to the “MXene in LEO – One Year Later” Symposium, where we will share what has happened over the past year: the results we have obtained, the follow-up research that has been initiated, and the new scientific directions and partnerships that have emerged as a result of the mission.

What began on the ISS did not end with the return to Earth. The experiment continues to live on through data analysis, new ideas, and growing collaborations across disciplines and institutions.

During the symposium, we will also show that an experiment like this requires the combined effort of people from different fields and with diverse expertise, without whom none of it would have been possible!
