Cracow Groove Collective nie brzmi jak zespół, który się zebrał — brzmi jak zespół, który się zbiega, za każdym razem trochę inaczej, wokół tego samego celu: groove'u. To krakowski kolektyw funku, soulu i jazzu, w którym skład jest płynny — muzycy, producenci i wokaliści, którzy traktują groove nie jako efekt, lecz jako sposób prowadzenia rozmowy z publicznością.

Klasyki gatunku (New Power Generation, Terri Walker, Cory Henry, Curtis Mayfield, Incognito) rozbierają na czynniki pierwsze i składają z powrotem z wyczuciem sekcji rytmiczne. Między tym wszystkim przemycają autorski materiał, kierując własne pomysły na te same tory, po których jeżdżą Memphis, Detroit, Filadelfia — i dzisiejsze Los Angeles.

About the band
Cracow Groove Collective doesn't sound like a band that got together — it sounds like a band that converges, a little differently every time, around the same goal: the groove. It's a Kraków-based funk, soul and jazz collective with a fluid line-up — musicians, producers and vocalists who treat groove not as an effect, but as a way of holding a conversation with the audience.

They take the classics of the genre (New Power Generation, Terri Walker, Cory Henry, Curtis Mayfield, Incognito) apart down to the bare bones and put them back together with the instinct of a rhythm section that knows the most happens in what it didn't play. In between, they slip in original material, steering their own ideas onto the same tracks once travelled by Memphis, Detroit, Philadelphia — and today's Los Angeles.
