Tweewekelijks op zaterdagmiddag - schrijfsessies!
Elke zaterdag openen we de deuren voor een schrijfsessie waarin woorden centraal staan. Van rap tot slam poetry: je ontdekt hoe je jouw ideeën en emoties kan vertalen naar krachtige teksten. Special guests – ervaren rappers, muzikanten en dichters – begeleiden je stap voor stap en geven tips rond ritme, rijm, flow en performance.
Deze sessies zijn dé plek om te experimenteren, inspiratie op te doen en samen je pen te scherpen.
Myriem El-Kaddouri (1994) heeft een master in Rechten en een master in Bedrijfseconomie. Ze werkt als jurist contracten- en gezondheidsrecht en is een veelgevraagd (publiek) spreker.
Buiten de juridische wereld wordt Myriem gegrepen door taal en filosofie. Ze is dichter, woordkunstenaar en spoken word artiest. Myriem wordt omschreven als een nieuwe krachtige stem in de hedendaagse Nederlandstalige poëzie (De Tijd, 2024).
Haar debuutbundel 'Hier ligt de waarheid in overdaad' (Pelckmans, juni 2024) stond op de shortlist van Granate Prijs 2024 voor de bundel met de meest pakkende titel die de essentie van het werk perfect weergeeft en is bekroond met de C. Buddingh’-prijs 2025 voor beste Nederlandstalige poëziedebuut.
In 2022 werkte ze samen met MUCE (museum voor circulaire economie) en Mediahuis aan een poëzie-installatie rond tegenstrijdige informatie. In 2023 werd Myriem West-Vlaams kampioen slam poetry en sindsdien draagt ze haar teksten voor op diverse podia in België en Nederland.
Myriem werd benoemd tot Letterzetter (stadsdichter) van de Stad Kortrijk voor 2024-2026. Als Letterzetter is ze mentor van een collectief van jonge kunstenaars en curator van het jaarlijkse woordkunstenfestival Memento, waar ze rond de zelfgekozen thema's 'causaliteit' en 'absurditeit' werkt.

Every Saturday, we open our doors for a writing session where words take centre stage. From rap to slam poetry: you will discover how to translate your ideas and emotions into powerful texts. Special guests – experienced rappers, musicians and poets – will guide you step by step and give you tips on rhythm, rhyme, flow and performance.
These sessions are the perfect place to experiment, find inspiration and sharpen your pen together.
Myriem El-Kaddouri (1994) has a master's degree in Law and a master's degree in Business Economics. She works as a contract and health law solicitor and is a much sought-after (public) speaker.
Outside the legal world, Myriem is fascinated by language and philosophy. She is a poet, word artist and spoken word performer. Myriem is described as a powerful new voice in contemporary Dutch-language poetry (De Tijd, 2024).
Her debut collection “Hier ligt de waarheid in overdaad” (Pelckmans, June 2024) was shortlisted for the Granate Prize 2024 for the collection with the most compelling title that perfectly captures the essence of the work and was awarded the C. Buddingh' Prize 2025 for best Dutch-language poetry debut.
