Binnen het folkcircuit hebben Guus Herremans (diatonische accordeon) en Ward Dhoore 
(akoestische gitaar) geen introductie meer nodig. De afgelopen tien jaar maakten deze jonge 
wolven indruk met award-winnende bands en uiteenlopende projecten. Je kon hen eerder aan het 
werk zien bij onder andere Aelia, Airboxes, Estbel, Les Bottines Artistiques, Nufolk Global 
Connections, Phlox, Siger, Snaarmaarwaar, Spilar en Trio Dhoore.
 Ze werden beiden geselecteerd door Radio Klara voor ‘De Twintigers’, een programma dat 
beloftevolle twintigers in de kijker zet. Vandaag bundelen Guus en Ward hun jarenlange 
vriendschap en muzikale chemie in Thalas, een nieuw project waarin hun passie voor 
hedendaagse folk centraal staat.
