This walk looks at everything else. Let's walk through this place in search of old trees, vanished wetlands, and the mosses and lichens that have been quietly taking these 250-year-old structures apart — one millimetre at a time. Beneath your feet, the ground still behaves like the wetland it once was. On every tomb surface, a slow ecological drama has been unfolding since the day the mason put down his tools. In the corners, in the cracks, along the broken brick pathways — life is doing what it always does. Reclaiming.

This is not a heritage walk. There are excellent ones for that. This is something different — believed to be the first walk of its kind in India. An ecological reading of a historic urban site, led by a field ecologist, in one of the oldest cemeteries in the country. Come with curiosity. Leave with a permanently different way of looking at any old wall, any patch of cracked ground, any surface most people walk past without a second glance.
