- **Event Description**: One of the oldest and largest cemeteries of the colonial period, the South Park Street Cemetery (other than housing the extremely visible majestic graves of different architectural styles) also houses invisible fascinating stories of individuals now lying in these graves. With their experiences about living and dying in 18th/early 19th century Calcutta, their lives were both horrific as well as fascinating. But how different was life almost a couple of centuries ago? Do we still have much in common? Christmas was a time for rejoice and celebration in 18th century Calcutta. How different or similar was Christmas then? Through this walk we will try to address these questions and to relive some of the stories of the life and times of that era, this Christmas season.
