# Event Details - **Event Name**: Beginner Stained Glass: Christmas in July Ornament Class #2 - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 26 Jul, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Sun, 26 Jul, 2026 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: Beginner Stained Glass: Christmas in July Ornament Class #2 This 4-hour course offers those interested in learning the art of stained glass an opportunity to learn the basic skills while creating a one-of-a-kind Christmas ornament. This course is designed for students who have little to no experience with stained glass, but any skill level is welcome! Those students who fall in love with this fun art form can then take the skills they learn and expand upon them through more challenging classes or through practice on their own. Sunday, July 26th 1:00-5:00pm SHAK Members- $55/per person Non-SHAK Members- $70/per person *Stained glass workshops are very popular and often fill quickly. Please register only if you plan to attend. Refunds and transfers to a different class date are granted on a very limited, case-by-case basis.* Students will also have access to our "scrap glass" bins, but if they wish to provide their own stain glass, they should bring it along with them. Students are encouraged to check out the glass available from Kokomo Opalescent Glass, but it can also be purchased at Hobby Lobby or from various websites. Students ages 12 and older are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to assist as needed. The assisting adult may attend at no charge if they are helping the minor only. Adults who wish to create their own piece must register and pay as a student. If the adult is attending as just an assistant, please let the instructor, Jen Martin, know before hand in order to ensure there is enough seats set up. She can be reached at Jen@SHAKMakerspace.org Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants. Failure to wear closed-toe shoes will result in student not being permitted to participate. Prescription glasses or reading glasses are recommended for those with vision needs but are not required. Students may bring their own safety glasses and gardening or safety gloves (thick, protective gloves—thin plastic gloves are not permitted). These items are optional and only necessary if you prefer not to use the shared safety equipment provided. Safety glasses and gloves are available at most home improvement stores.
