- **Event Description**: If you have a curious kid (age 8-12) who gets excited about watching birds and other wildlife, join us for our monthly bird program just for homeschoolers. Each month we will play games, get creative, and learn about different birds that live in the park. 

Many of our most interesting and colorful birds traveled to Central and South America for the winter, but spring is finally here and they are returning from their vacations. While traveling thousands of miles across oceans and continents, birds can encounter many obstacles. How do these little feathered friends survive and return year after year to the same locations? We will be learning about the perils of migration and searching the park for some of these tiny travelers. 

Bring a water bottle and come prepared to walk up to 2 miles on easy terrain. 

Please come prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
