This course is put on by The Raw Dogs, hosted in 2026 at Des Moines Skydivers, August 20 - 23.

This is a CRW course that takes you from zero or dated experience to having you ready to show up at a CRW boogie in one long weekend!

WE provide the appropriate CRW canopies for our camp, and this will be done at a 1.2-1.275 wingloading. If you are not currently flying at, super close to, or above a 1.2 wing loading, we may not be able to have you participate in the course. Please let us know if you are uncertain about this or if you have any questions.

Thursday night we will hold our initial briefing on CRW and hook up gear with you.

We will start Friday off with 1 hop 'n pop on a lightning, followed by 1 on 1 coach jumps. We will progress throughout the camp at your comfort level over the next 3 days. We plan on doing 3 coached CRW jumps per day with extensive video debrief. We ask that anyone who signs up be available for the entire camp.
If you plan to do work jumps or other fun jumps, or cannot make certain days, you won't get the full benefit of this camp. If you fall into that category, let us know and we can help get a different plan for you to learn CRW!

WE will be providing appropriate canopies for everyone.
WE have available appropriate hook knives, helmets, and loaner altimeters if yours is not appropriate for CRW.
