We are currently at the beginning of the second half of the Tennessee General Assembly's 109th legislative session. It is also a national election year. On top of all of that, tragedies are occuring left and right that in turn directly add to the anti-Muslim climate we have sadly grown accustomed to. AMAC works hard to create lines of communication and direct access to necessary public relationships and resources to respond to Islamophobia, and we ask you to come join us.
Linda Sarsour is the Executive Director of the Arab American Association of New York and Co-Founder of MPOWER Change, the first Muslim online organizing platform. In the wake of the police M**der of Mike Brown, she co-founded Muslims for Ferguson to build solidarity amongst American Muslim communities and encourage work against police brutality.
