- **Event Description**: Das römische Spektakel um Ruhm, Schmerz, Tod und Geld | Schaukämpfe, Mitmach-Stationen sowie allerlei Wissenswertes um das Thema Gladiatorenwesen im Amphitheater Virunum.

Kommt und nehmt Platz im Amphitheater Virunum, wo Schaukämpfer von INDES, Verein für europäische historische Kampfkunst, euch eine spannende Show zu gladiatorischen Kampftechniken vorführen. Hört dabei den summa rudis, den Schiedrichter, der die Kämpfe überwacht und moderiert! Vor dem Spektakel probiert euch selbst in der Fechtweise der Gladiatoren und prüft ihre Ausrüstung und Bewaffnung hautnah. Die Gladiatoren bleiben dabei vor Ort und stehen dem Publikum Rede und Antwort.

Nach dem Ende der Kämpfe findet für alle Interessierten optional eine kurze Führung durch das Amphitheater Virunum statt.

Anfahrt aus Richtung Klagenfurt: St. Veiter Straße – auf S37 Klagenfurter Schnellstraße – Ausfahrt 297B Maria Saal in Richtung Zollfeld – 1 km weiter auf L71 – beim Herzogstuhl rechts abbiegen auf Hörzendorfer Landesstraße/L72 – Straßenverlauf 1,1 km folgen – links halten auf Ottmanacher Landesstraße/L86 – Straßenverlauf 1,1 km folgen – links abbiegen, nach ca. 200 m auf linker Seite Zugang zur Arena Virunum.
