Featuring traditional sub-Saharan clean guitar lines, classic deep bass and movement-inspiring beats, OK Naledi’s compelling lyricism and catchy melodies showcase them as an exciting, up and coming group to keep tabs on in the Canadian music landscape.Emerging in February 2022, OK Naledi has had incredible performance opportunities and support. From major festival and showcase performances to award nominations. OK Naledi’s music video ‘do you feel’ was selected for screening at the 2023 Los Angeles Queer Film Festival. OK Naledi has received generous funding support from Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council and the City of Ottawa to continue creating in this project. On March 4, 2023 OK Naledi released their first full length album with a sold out album release event at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. In August 2023, James unveiled her debut EP, In the River, produced by the JUNO award-winning producer Michael Wojewoda.
