Ashlynn Fleming of Reep Green Solutions and Olivia Balkwill from the City of Kitchener’s Forestry and Natural Areas Department bring deep expertise in urban forestry and ecological restoration to this practical session on what it really takes to grow healthy, resilient trees. Focusing on the principle of “right tree, right place, right reason,” they’ll explore the planning, care, and long-term strategies behind successful tree planting programs, and share how community members can get involved through local initiatives like the Community Canopy Program.
