# Event Details - **Event Name**: Pollinate ~ Moving Between Worlds - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 15 Nov, 2025 at 07:00 pm – Sat, 15 Nov, 2025 at 10:30 pm - **Event Description**: Pollinate returns to invite us to lean into the liminal and move between the worlds that we might celebrate our ancestors of blood and imagination and make an embodied offering of our dance. In this modern, primarily secular culture with little ritual to remind us, our beloved dead fall away from us. Let us turn towards them, uplift them by recognizing the fullness of their being, dance with them in the luminous dark, lit by our loving attention and delight. If there is grief, let it crack us open. If there is not knowing, let it fill us with wonder. My grandfather (Pops) said to me, not long before he left this earthly realm, “I choose to believe everything happens for a reason, and if I just stay with it, it will probably reveal itself.” Let’s allow our knowledge of our own death to reveal the many parts of ourselves to us, the archetypes and myths that want a space to move and be expressed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ?THIS POLLINATE we are deeply excited to move to the live responsive soundscapes of Erwan Noblet, Joel Brubacher, Todd Scheidel, Philippe Samutin & Alex Bossi on electric violin, cello, percussion, accordion, guitar, loops, keys, voice and other sweet instrumentations. Followed by... DJ Bossi Nova✨coming to us from Montreal with layers of sound and groove to move your body to unexpected places. ?THE PURPOSE OF POLLINATE... is to create a space in KW where lovers of dance & music improvisation can come together in embodied research of what generates co-intelligence, flow and collaboration. ?WHAT IS POLLINATE? Pollinate is a monthly dance event for those who enjoy moving in a focused creative space in collaboration with other dancers and with improvised sound. This includes solo, duo, group dancing, conscious witnessing & stillness. Each event hosts veteran musical improvisers to support the space with inspiration for movement, expression, surprise and delight. This could include both acoustic & electronic sound. And each month there will be a different themed focus and guided warm-up to offer a bridge into dancing and stimulate new ideas & practice. As usual, there will be nibbles & spring water to energize our bodies, art supplies to entice our creative spirit, a cuddle zone to rest & co-regulate, and a tickle trunk to play with identity. Bring your water bottle to hydrate your dance.
