She is an acclaimed musician, photographer, curator and producer, best known as the former bassist of rock bands Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins. In 2010 she co-founded Basilica Hudson, a multidisciplinary art center in Hudson, NY, where she lives with her family and magic cats.About the ModeratorTARA SLONE began her career as the lead singer of Juno-nominated band Joydrop before moving into journalism and broadcasting. She co-hosted Rogers Hometown Hockey for eight years and now works with the San Jose Sharks and NBC Sports Bay Area. She also hosts No Filter (Canada Talks), a women-focused program, and No Offense, But… (Poplandia), a lively pop culture panel. A dynamic live host and interviewer, Tara recently interviewed The Tragically Hip at Toronto’s Massey Hall.
