This summer, they can build their own game in it.Over four evening sessions, your child goes from opening Roblox Studio for the first time to finishing a real, playable game that is theirs to keep. They design the world, add obstacles and rewards, script how things work, and learn to use AI tools the way real developers now do, to build faster and solve problems. By the last class they have a finished game they can send friends to play.The 4 sessions (5:00–7:00 PM):Mon Jul 20 — Foundations: get comfortable in Roblox Studio and build your first playable space.Thu Jul 23 — Make it a game: add goals, obstacles and rewards, plus the basics of scripting.Mon Jul 27 — Bring it to life: mechanics, effects, and using AI tools to code faster.Thu Jul 30 — Polish and publish: finishing touches, playtesting, and showing off the finished game.Where: Victoria Hills Community Centre, 10 Chopin Drive, Kitchener.Who it is for: Ages 8–13. Total beginners are welcome. We start from the very basics and build up together.What to bring: A laptop that can run Roblox Studio (Windows or Mac) and its charger. Roblox Studio is a free install, and we email a short setup checklist before the first class.Why parents feel good about it: Taught by Sami and Bassel, two developer instructors (Bassel is behind the MakersMinds electronics workshops and is heading into engineering). Small group, 15 max and usually around 10, so every kid gets real one-on-one help. Real skills like game design, logic and problem-solving, with a finished project to show for it.
