Located in western Kenya, it is the country’s third largest city, and is the largest commercial center in Western Kenya.  It has a large tertiary hospital which has been the main referral destination for several of the county hospitals in Western Kenya.  \n\n\nWe aim to make a difference by raising support in the diaspora and in turn offering clinical services, which would’ve otherwise not existed, to the people of Kisumu and the about 5 million people in its catchment area. Through our partnerships with the Kisumu County Government, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital and medical industries in the diaspora, we purpose to carry out several short-term mission trips focused on healthcare delivery and the education of healthcare providers.\n\n\nIn the future, we hope to leverage the neuroscience research prowess of our current team members to work with the local universities in development of neuroscience research and teaching and training in the medical schools.\n\n\nWe are a part of a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, Giving Back to Kenya,  registered in the State of Georgia, USA and are appreciative of involvement and support from the Kenyan community and friends of Kenya.\n\n\n " } ] } ] ```
