Sonnet 65 Album Launch

Alternative-indie-or-whatever-tickles-their-fancy rock band Sonnet 65 are returning with their first full-length album in 21 years. Formed last millennium in Kirriemuir by guitarists Liam Wilkie (now on drums) and Steven Gibbons, the band’s signature sound is completed by Gillian Ramsay’s soaring violin and David Kerr’s melodic bass lines.

Predominantly a live band, Sonnet 65 have played just about everywhere — from sweaty village halls and sketchy bars to international festival stages, cow sheds, and some of the country’s most iconic music venues. Their mix of heartfelt song writing, driving rhythms and lush string arrangements has earned them a loyal following and a reputation for bringing warmth, energy, and wit to every performance.

However, a return to the studio was long overdue. Their upcoming album Every Map and Every Atlas (out this November) delivers a fresh collection of anthems that capture both the power and intimacy of their live sound. Sonnet 65 are excited to launch their new record with a hometown headliner on Saturday 22nd November at The Attic Club, and hope for a strong local support.
