- **Event Description**: VanWood Tahoe, hosted by Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe in partnership with Kirkwood Mountain Resort and EpicPromise, is the first three day spring ski, snowboard, and camping festival in the Sierra. The event takes place April 10 to 12, 2026 at Kirkwood Mountain Resort and brings together outdoor enthusiasts, van life culture, and the camping community for a weekend of mountain fun while raising funds for local Tahoe youth.

Camping spaces for VanWood Tahoe are on sale now and availability is limited. Organizers encourage attendees to secure their campsite as soon as possible, as the Red Cliffs camping areas are expected to sell out in advance of the event. Campsites are sold by site, not per person, making it an ideal way to gather friends and create a shared mountain basecamp for the weekend. Once campsites are sold out, no additional inventory will be released.

VanWood is designed as a communal celebration of spring in the Sierra and combines outdoor adventure with shared experiences. Attendees will enjoy three days of activities including spring skiing and riding, camping in the scenic Red Cliffs lots, and community focused programming that highlights mountain culture.

VanWood offers a full schedule of activities throughout the weekend:

Camping Experiences: Reserve campsites in Kirkwood’s Red Cliffs areas and be part of a vibrant mountain camping community. Campsites are limited and early reservations are strongly encouraged.

Spring Skiing and Riding: Enjoy prime spring conditions on the slopes all weekend. Lift tickets must be purchased directly through Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

Live Music and Entertainment: Saturday features a free live performance in the Kirkwood Village from Scott Pemberton O Theory, with an opening set by DJ Palmer and special guest Cliff Porter of Jelly Bread on drums. This is the only opportunity to see Scott Pemberton O Theory perform in the Tahoe region this year. Additional live music includes Local Anthology performing Saturday evening at Red Cliffs Lodge with an opening set by DJ Gabe Gavilenes.

VanWood Mini Tahoe Brewfest: Taking place Saturday from 4pm to 8pm, this ticketed tasting event features unlimited samples from a curated lineup of breweries including 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Tahoe Brew House, Alibi Ale Works, South of North Brewing Company, Dust Bowl Brewing Company, Sidellis Lake Tahoe, South Lake Brewing Company, Lake Tahoe AleWorX, Cold Water Brewery and Grill, and Pigeon Head Brewery. This is the only ticketed event of the weekend.

Community Activities: The weekend also includes karaoke at The Cornice, yoga sessions, games, DJs, coffee chats, and a sunset shred session, all designed to bring people together in celebration of spring and mountain life. All activities are free and open to the public with the exception of the Mini Tahoe Brewfest.

Golden Road Gathering Giveaway: All campers are automatically entered to win a Golden Road Gathering package for their family, which includes a three day festival pass with walk in camping access. The winner will be announced Sunday morning, April 12.

All proceeds from VanWood Tahoe directly support programs and services for local youth through the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. South Lake Tahoe locals who wish to avoid online service fees may purchase their campsite in person at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe by check.
