Kirk-Wood Half is now the Woodinville Half
Hello runners,
We know many of you have been looking forward to the Kirk-Wood Half Marathon, and we appreciate your understanding as we share an important update regarding the event.
Unfortunately, we have had to change the route for the Kirk-Wood Half due to ongoing construction on the Kirkland Cross Corridor Trail.
The good news: the half marathon will still take place on Sunday, March 8 — just with an updated route.
The event will now start and finish at Wilmot Park, which was originally planned as the finish line. This eliminates the need for participant shuttles and allows us to offer a flat, fast, and fun course. We are incredibly grateful for the support and flexibility shown by the City of Woodinville and King County Parks in making this possible.
At this time, our focus is on delivering an exceptional race experience on March 8. The City of Kirkland has indicated a willingness to permit the event on a future date, and we are exploring the possibility of hosting the Kirk-Wood Half Marathon later this year.
Important Updates:
The event will now be called the Woodinville Half Marathon.
All participants will receive a free slice of pizza from The Pizza Coup post-race 🍕.
All participants will still receive a full-zip hooded sweatshirt with registration. We will be updating the design.
