Saturday, June 7: Emerald Ballet Theatre presents Peter and the Wolf

Peter and the Wolf / Meet the Musicians features dancers from Emerald Ballet Theatre with choreography by Erin McEachran, Sarah Jacobsen, Lori Barber, Meg Perkins, Genna Carey, and Tomoko Chun.

Act I: Meet the Musicians

Classical and contemporary dances highlight the instruments featured in Peter and Wolf.

Act II: Peter and the Wolf

In Peter and the Wolf, each character is represented by a different instrument.

Peter (Strings), lives with his Grandmother (Bassoon) near a forest. One day, Peter ventures into the woods, where he encounters a variety of animals, including a Bird (Flute), Duck (Oboe), Cat (Clarinet), and Wolf (French Horn). As the Wolf threatens the animals, Peter cleverly captures it with the help of his animal friends.

All ages will enjoy Sergei Prokofiev's lively tale brought to life by dance!

Box office will open at 1:00pm. The show runs aproximately 70 minutes with one intermission.
