The Bulgarian Cultural and Heritage Center of Seattle, with the fiscal sponsorship of 4Culture presents:
Dream of Happiness
Many Cultures, One Dream
Koleda Concert of the Bulgarian Community in Seattle
Inspired by the poetry of Pencho Slaveykov and the universal aspiration for peace, love, and understanding among people.
This year, on the stage of Kirkland Performance Center, we will welcome guests from near and far. The musicians from Episode Band – Borislav Kutrov (leader, guitar, vocals), Detelina Deneva (keyboard, bass, vocals), and Tore Tveit (drums) – are joining us all the way from Norway.
Among the local participants, we’ll see and hear the Women’s Choir Bulgarian Voices of Seattle, the talented young singer Anika Alexandr, Folklore Ensemble Hopa Trop (adults and children), Youth Magic (newly formed dance group), Children’s Folklore Group Medena Pitka, Seattle’s Koledari, Seattle Cheta Performance Group (adults and youth).
In “Dream of Happiness,” we sing, play, dance, and give thanks for priceless gifts. Cultures are many, but the dream is one — for peace, harmony, and humanity.
