- **Event Description**: “রাঙাহাসি রাশি রাশি অশোকে পলাশে/ রাঙা নেশা মেঘে মেশা প্রভাত আকাশে…”- ফাগুন পেরিয়ে চৈত্র পরে গেল। পলাশে শিমূলে রাঙা হয়ে আছে বাংলার আকাশ। আমরাও কম যাই কীসে? সবে টুকটুক করে ক্যামেলিয়ারা মুখ বাড়াচ্ছে, ড্যাফোডিলেরা মেলছে সাদা- হলুদ ডানা। খরগোশ- কাঠবিড়ালির ছুটোছুটি শুরু হচ্ছে- মানেই শীতঘুম ভেঙে গেছে সিয়াটলের। এ সময়ে একটু আধটু বেড়িয়ে পড়াই যায়।


কিন্তু বেড়ানোর ফাঁকে আগামী ১৮ এপ্রিল তারিখটা ক্যালেন্ডারে আলাদা করে রাখুন। কারণ ঐ দিন থাকছে উত্তরণের বৈশাখী অনুষ্ঠান , Juanita High School -এ। জানি, এসময়ে মনে পড়বে সেই কত বছর আগেকার তবলা- হারমোনিয়ামের দিনগুলি, বছর ঘুরে ধুলো ঝেড়ে নেমে পড়ত সচন্দন রবিঠাকুর- নজরুলের ছবি, নাটক আর গানের ঘরোয়া মহড়া। আমরা কিন্তু হাল ছাড়িনি, আমাদের ছোটোরা তাদের নাচগানকবিতার ডালি নিয়ে প্রস্তুত হচ্ছে বৈশাখকে বরণ করে নেওয়ার জন্য। আপনারা তো থাকছেনই তাদের উৎসাহ দেওয়ার জন্য, সঙ্গে থাকছে চা-টার বন্দোবস্ত, আর এক চামচ নস্টালজিয়া।
