Samhain, a traditional Gaelic festival held on November 1, marks the close of the harvest and the arrival of winter, often called the ‘darker half’ of the year. It is rooted in the belief that during this time, the veil between the living and the dead grows thin, allowing spirits to walk among us. Festivities usually begin on the night of October 31 and include rituals such as bonfires, feasting, and paying tribute to ancestors.
