The official opening is at 2.30pm on Saturday 30 May – all welcome. The free exhibition looks at the story of women’s kimonos, how they have been made and how they have changed over the last 100 years or so.There will be more than 30 kimonos and accessories on display.'Wearing Japan: A Visual History of Kimono' is on until 6 August 2026 at the Auld Kirk Museum, Cowgate, Kirkintilloch, G66 1HN. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.
