This month's Climate Kitchen, guest curated by D&G Climate Hub, will feature a workshop with Old Mill Arts. You will learn how to use natural and locally sourced pigments, and biodegradable binders to create star themed designs inspired by depictions of stars from the medieval era. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in slow, sustainable, and beautiful creative processes.You will experience making simple natural paints, then use this paint to create magical medieval inspired designs painted onto recycled papers and surfaces which can be used to decorate your homes, as gift tags, or sent as cards.This workshop is a celebration of light during these shortening days, and of the possibilities of decoration making using natural, affordable, recycled and biodegradable art materials, and to come together in the true spirit of the festive season to meet the challenges of our times.We will share a vegan soup supper made from local surplus food.Free event.
