- **Event Description**: For Pride Month, the Design Suite at Adam Smith Theatre is hosting a series of creative drop-in workshops on Friday afternoons throughout June.

Pride Month has its roots in the Stonewall uprising in New York in 1969, when members of the LGBTQ plus community stood up against discrimination and police raids. Since then, Pride has grown into a global celebration of identity, visibility, and community, while still recognising the ongoing fight for equality.

Closer to home, Fife Pride began as a small community-led event and has grown into a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ plus identity, visibility, and support across the region. It is all about coming together, being seen, and celebrating who you are and who you love and these workshops are a chance to be part of that in your own creative way. This year, Fife Pride will be taking part in Beveridge Park on Saturday 4th of July.
 
Come along to any or all of the sessions, running from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Fridays from 12 June to 26 June.

You are welcome to create something to wear or carry at Fife Pride, or simply make something for yourself to use or display every day. It is completely up to you.

The drop-in workshops are suitable for ages 8 and up. Anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop 1: Badge Making 12th June 2:30-4:30pm
Everyone loves a badge, and this is your chance to design and make your own. 

Workshop 2: Pre-Loved Pride 19th June 2:30 – 4:30pm
Bring along a pre-loved cotton clothing item and customise it using heat-press vinyl.

Workshop 3: Banner Making 26th June 2:30 – 4:30pm
Design and create your own banner, whether it is for Fife Pride or just to brighten up your space at home.
