Create in Kirkcaldy is back for 2026, and this year we’re building an even stronger creative community in the heart of Fife. If you’re an artist, maker, freelancer, designer, writer, performer, or simply someone carving out your own creative path, these monthly gatherings are designed to help you connect with others and develop your practice in a meaningful, practical way.
Hosted in Adam Smith Theatre on the last Wednesday of every month from March to November, Create in Kirkcaldy brings together creative practitioners at every stage of their journey. This isn’t just networking, it’s a growing hub for peer‑to‑peer learning, honest conversation, collaboration, and skill‑building. Each month you’ll take away something you can use immediately: new ideas, practical tools, fresh inspiration, or simply the confidence that comes from being part of a local creative community.
Every session opens with food, conversation, and an easy way to meet the people around you. From there, the programme shifts each month, offering workshops, discussions, panels, and relaxed group activities led by professionals and peers. You’ll find a mixture of guidance, support, and space to explore your own work, all in an open, welcoming environment where creatives from across Fife can feel at home.
This year’s line‑up has been built around the needs we heard from last year’s participants. Whether you’re looking to understand the business side of your practice, strengthen your creative voice, get clearer on your goals, or simply meet people facing similar challenges, Create in Kirkcaldy offers something worth showing up for. And while you’re welcome to dip in and out, the real value comes from coming regularly and being part of the momentum we’re building together.
The year will culminate once again in Creative Soup — our annual micro‑funding event where you can pitch a project or business idea for a chance to win the money raised through ticket sales on the night. It’s a brilliant opportunity to test an idea, build confidence, or take a step toward something new.
