Join us for the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS), an interactive experience designed to help participants better understand the realities and challenges faced by individuals and families living in poverty. Through hands-on role play, participants will navigate real-life situations involving employment, housing, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and other daily struggles experienced by many in our communities.

This powerful training encourages empathy, meaningful discussion, and collaboration to strengthen community support systems and improve outcomes for families in Preston County and beyond. CAPS is especially valuable for healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, law enforcement, community organizations, faith leaders, students, and anyone who serves the public.

Lunch will be provided for all participants and volunteers.

We are also seeking volunteers to help run simulation stations throughout the event. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us for more information.

Space may be limited, so registration is encouraged. We hope you will join us for this impactful community learning experience.
