He will be joined by four guest participants who have all successfully secured CIHR funding in various themes.This workshop is designed for researchers applying to CIHR for the first time, as well as experienced researchers preparing a new CIHR application. This year's workshop is open to a limited number of trainees with a research focus (postdoctoral fellow, medicial residents and senior PhD students). PI's must nominate trainees prior to registeration by contacting time@queensu.ca. While it is focused specifically on CIHR, the content of this workshop will apply to other funding sources, including PSI and various research foundations.Participants will gain valuable insights into the CIHR grant application process through three sessions:1. Preparing a Winning GrantUnderstanding the core philosophy underlying a strong grant application.Navigating the timeline from idea to submission.Leveraging the internal review processes to obtain a competitive edge.Gaining practical insights into structuring a compelling application.Crafting a strategic and professional rebuttal to an unsuccessful grant application.2.
