Vibrational sound from singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments creates a gentle field of resonance you can rest into. These soothing tones offer a sensory experience, and an invitation into stillness - to soften habitual tension, release held emotions, and allow your limbic system (the emotional centre of the brain) to settle. The limbic system plays an important role in how we process emotion, stress, memory, and connection, and when it feels supported, we can experience more ease, emotional regulation, and presence. While there is an invitation for stillness, you’re always welcome to move, shift positions, or adjust as needed throughout the experience. Throughout the journey, gentle breathing cues, guided imagery, and meditative prompts may be offered to help you deepen your experience and allow thoughts and sensations to flow with kindness and loving awareness. Time is provided at the end for gentle integration and quiet reflection. What to bring? - Your own mat if you like, we do have mats available for a $1 cash donation - Water bottle - Your own props if you like, however the studio has bolsters and blankets for you to use as well About the facilitator Your facilitator is Miriam Lyon, a Certified Sound Therapist, Reiki Teacher & Practitioner, and trained Yoga Teacher. Miriam has spent many years exploring practices that support nervous system awareness, self-connection, and mindful presence — both personally and professionally. Her approach is warm, grounded, and invitational, drawing from sound, energy work, yoga, breath, and meditation to create spaces where people can arrive just as they are. Miriam’s intention is to help you feel supported and at ease, with room to listen inward and follow your own rhythm. Beyond her events at Studio 330, Miriam works from her cozy downtown studio surrounded by nature, and collaborates with studios, retreat centres, and community spaces.
