A few reminders:
- This is a free, casual meet-up, not a formal course
Please ensure you’re comfortable to look after yourself and always buddy up (you can find a buddy during the pre dive chat if you come alone)
We highly encourage taking a freediving course with us to learn how to freedive safely and proficiently.
- A National Parks pass is required to enter Fortescue Bay and can be bought online here.
https://parks.tas.gov.au/.../park-passes-and-entry-fees
- Car parking is best at the Cape Hauy parking spot near the bbq shelters or in the car park opposite the Parks Info Office, a 5 min walk away from the Boat Ramp.
- Boat Ramp parking is for cars with trailers only. I have added photos of these two car parking spots in the discussion.
- Conditions may change - check the discussion tab for weather/location updates
- We highly encourage car pooling to these events so we don't over crowd areas. Keep your eye on the discussion for a car pooling thread.
- Note: The only thing we take at social dives are photos, so please no harvesting of abalone, fish, or crayfish.
Please send us a message if you have any questions or if you’re keen to donate a lucky door prize to next months event.
PS - The post dive picnic might just be the best part..
