- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 30 Oct, 2026 at 07:00 pm
- **Event Description**: This is a powerful time of year, and we feel it right down to the bone. At this dance we will honour those who are already beyond us, connect with each other, and greet the untold expressions of ourselves.

Ghosts, unicorns and robots, all welcome ? We are looking forward to shaking our bones with you.

Awesome and seasonal playlist with journey arc by Sarah and Emily.

As always, we will gather in a circle at the beginning and end of the dance to form connection.

Ecstatic dance is a space to move and dance however you feel. It is a practice, a party, a meditation, a ritual, a journey. Find your way.

* Sliding scale $15-$30. Purchase through e-transfer to sarahbwiseman@yahoo.ca (please add your name in the note) or by cash in person. We love RSVPs but not necessary.

If the cost is prohibitive, please come anyway.

* We meet at The Rock- Patterson Park - in Kingston/Kataroqwi- on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe First Nations. As organizers we are grateful to those who took care of this land for centuries before us. We dance here respectfully and want to support indigenous sovereignty.

Flashlights recommended! From the parking lot at Patterson Park (86 Sunny Acres Rd, off Front Rd), it is a few minutes down the foot path along the grass and trees to the large outcropping of rock. You'll feel like you must have missed it, but keep going! Outdoor washrooms are not available at Patterson Point - something to keep in mind.

* ABOUT ECSTATIC DANCE:
"Ecstatic Dance" has been practiced for centuries in various forms by a variety of spiritual communities around the world, and continues to be an important ceremony for many cultures. The ecstatic dances we offer is for anyone who is seeking a place where all bodies and ages can dance without feeling judged, and move however they feel with the music. Some people come to ecstatic dance for a transformational or spiritual experience, others come simply to let loose in their bodies and dance in community. In this community there are a few agreements we follow to ensure everyone feels safe and welcome:

• Please refrain from having conversations on the dance floor. This supports the goal of getting in touch with our bodies, communicating with movement and getting away from linear thought.

• These dances are drug and alcohol free. Feel free to reach your own natural state of wellbeing;

• To foster intuition and the non-performative nature of these dances, and to respect others' privacy, please refrain from taking photos or videos during the events;

• When engaging in interactive dance: listen for a "yes" (get eye contact first), respect any "no" (putting up a hand, moving away). Respect a solo dancer's right to their space and refrain from giving another dancer unwanted attention.
