Come join us at beautiful Adventure Bay on Bruny Island this Easter Saturday to sing beautiful acapella songs with other good humans, led by choir human Rose Wilson. No experience or skills are needed to attend, just come along with a voice that can talk and a willingness to give it a go!
Rose will teach unaccompanied songs in 3 and 4 part harmony- songs with words that are beautiful and carry meaning and connection, or sometimes words that just delight in the ridiculous. We will all sing up a vibrant, joyful, grounded-uplifting, laughter-filled storm, drink tea, have snacks, and make merry.
Rose Wilson is a Huon Valley based singer, songwriter, choir leader, singing teacher, and all round musically enthusiastic person. She has a Bachelor of Music majoring in vocal performance, over 20 years experience teaching singing and delights in emphatically affirming with people that they are allowed to sing, no matter how good or not good they think they may be. You are allowed to sing, as you are, for your own reasons, which never need to include perfection and performance unless you wish them to.
Rose leads choirs and workshops which are light hearted, vibrant and warm and all are welcome. The songs are predominantly acapella in all sorts of styles and you don’t need to read music or think you can sing in order to join in- you just need to come with a spirit of joyful (even if it’s initially nervous) adventure and curiosity! How appropriate to do such a thing at Adventure Bay!
