“Art as Midrash” with Rabbi Laurie Green and Guest Speaker, Rabbi Gila Ruskin

Guest Speaker, Rabbi Gila Ruskin is a congregational rabbi, a social justice advocate and a professional artist.

The revelation that art can expand our understanding of spiritual text has led to her passion for Mosaic Midrash. In her hands, Biblical or liturgical text gather layers of meaning as they are crafted into colorful multimedia creations.

This workshop will explore how art expands Torah interpretation and enriches our spiritual lives.

Come join us, as we are uplifted into the world of “Art as Midrash”.

A Musical Havdalah will be led by Rabbi Gila Ruskin and Rabbi Green at 6:15 and the workshop will start at 6:30 PM.
