Every exercise has been built specifically with small businesses in mind, so what you learn on the day is stuff you can actually use the very next day.We'll cover how to get the most out of frontier AI chatbots (think ChatGPT, Claude, and similar tools), plus a few special-purpose tools built specifically to support small business owners. You'll leave with all the training materials, so you can revisit everything and keep building on it after the workshop ends.Day 4 – Succession Planning, Tuesday 25th August 12:00-16:00pmLed by Paul ShawEvery owner leaves their business eventually — but three in four say they regret how they did it. This practical four-hour workshop covers both halves of the question: succession (who runs and owns it next, and how you hand over well) and exit (what it is worth, how a sale works, and what it really costs). Prior to working in Higher Education Claire worked in the commercial marketing sphere implementing social & digital strategies. Using her wealth of digital marketing, social, branding and content experience with national brands including Dunelm, intu shopping centres and Preloved.com, Claire utilises these practical skills to encourage, develop and support students within their studies. Claire is also an entrepreneur. In 2014 she was the founder of a co-working and events venue in Brighton. Super+Super was born from an idea of a collaborative space where you could work, learn and play. The venue consisted of coworking offices and a workshop space. This venture led to the creation of five published books available in Waterstones, Barnes & Noble & Amazon.com.Richard Keogh is a senior business mentor with over 35 years of leadership experience in national and international media and marketing companies. Formerly Managing Director of Kantar Media's European consultancy business, he has spent the past few years mentoring businesses and rising entrepreneurs across London. Richard brings a real-world commercial lens to early-stage and community businesses, helping founders translate their passion into financially sustainable, operationally sound ventures. He’s equally comfortable helping with marketing strategy, business model clarity, growth planning, or managing difficult change.Glenn Bowering has spent over a decade as a software developer in the fast-paced worlds of telecoms and fintech. This technical background gave him deep insights into how technology shapes organisational challenges and team dynamics. He designs and leads workshops that sit at the intersection of technology and leadership, helping business leaders navigate complex challenges while developing the leadership skills essential for our rapidly changing business landscape.Dr Chantelle Hudson has several years of experience in AI drug discovery and is the founder of Geodesic Labs, a startup working to revolutionise the AI drug discovery landscape.Paul Shaw is a professional business coach and mentor, dedicated to helping small and medium sized businesses achieve their vision. Paul works collaboratively alongside business owners to develop sustainable growth strategies.
