I work in a variety of mediums with a sweet spot for watercolours and the qualities this medium offers. I primarily create works on paper and wood panels, and I also make sculpture installations. My work, two-dimensional or three-dimensional, celebrates life’s absurdities, drawing from existentialist and stoic philosophies. Through absurd, everyday, and comical expressions, I aim to challenge conventional notions of meaning, inviting viewers to critically reflect on the inherent absurdity in our quest for purpose. As an artist I have exhibited in numerous exhibitions across the UK and Greece. With over 6 years' experience teaching adults and children, I offer personalised lessons to help you explore creativity and build confidence in your artistic skills. You can see more of my work and all the workshops I offer at evamerendes.com" } ] } ] ```
