Once rested and recharged, we will embard on a mini adventure around Thames Ditton Island, then back towards our starting point. This route is surrounded by historic landmarks, combined with wildlife and a tranquil atmosphere with an optional trip to the pub after to celebrate! A paddleboarding trip not to be missed. Who is this Trip For? This tour is for Improving or Intermediate paddleboarders. The Thames is a busy river and we will need to Portage (carry board over a lock/weir) You must be relatively comfortable launching and exiting bankside and paddling in this type of environment to be able to join. Absolutely, your future friends are waiting for you. Do I need my own kit? You are welcome to join our SUP river trips with your own paddle board and equipment, or hire ours Requirements Fit for a 4 mile paddle Can get from kneeling to standing on a paddle board, or happy to kneel for the duration Ideally have some paddle boarding experience Can avoid water based obstacles A confident swimmer, can swim minimum of 50 meters unaided Can fall off your board and get back on. (Self Rescue) Age requirements Adults Only for this trip. An extra warm layer for your core and a hat recommended for when the sun goes down and temperature cools.
