A female-fronted punk rock band that emerged from the early 1980s UK anarcho-punk scene. Their lyrical themes tackled everything from biting political commentary to playful, independent-thinking rebellion. OMEGA TRIBE Formed in 1981. Originally renowned for their tuneful and melodic approach within the early 80s "peace and freedom" punk scene, the group evolved to embrace a catchy power-pop punk sound while maintaining deep anti-establishment and socially conscious lyrics. Today, the group remains active on the live circuit and through releases on Grow Your Own Records.
