How perceived student-supervisor relationship quality affects wellbeing

Positive social relationships are cited as a critical determining factor in every theoretical model of wellbeing. One under-examined relationship is that between a student and personal supervisor. Kelly’s research explores the impact of the perceived quality of this relationship on several variables including sense of belonging, academic engagement and psychological wellbeing. This session will present her findings and implications, with opportunities for discussion and reflection.
