The walk begins at the railway station and will take in a variety of important civic spaces, historic streets and waterfront views.🚆 Suggested travel arrangementsParticipants will make their own way to Hull. Many members may wish to travel together using the following train:🚆 Depart Halifax: 09:16🚆 Arrive Hull: 11:00🚆 Depart Hull: 16:15🚆 Arrive Halifax: 18:05Current prices on Trainline are around £10.99 with a railcard, though this may vary.We will meet outside Hull Paragon Station at 11:05am to begin the tour, where Hull Civic Society will meet us and lead the walk.🗺️ Proposed walking routeOur hosts plan to guide us through a varied route including:• Hull Paragon Station• The Cenotaph• Paragon Street, past Paragon Arcade• Paragon Street Globe• Queen Victoria Square• Ferens Art Gallery (exterior)• Queens Gardens (west end)• Princes Dock Street• Posterngate• Mary Murdoch Bridge• Spurn Light Vessel and the Marina• Humber Street and the Pier (with views of The Deep)• Scale Lane Bridge• Market Place (King William III statue)• Historic High Street before returning to the stationThe final route is dependent on the weather, and one or two indoor attractions may be included if conditions require.🍴 LunchWe will stop around Trinity Market, where there is a wide range of food options and no need to pre-book.
