Kings Mountain Historical Museum is excited to host Author Dixie Abernathy as she discusses her novel "Promise of a Nation," the first book in the Cramerton Trilogy. This historical fiction trilogy chronicles the story of Stuart W. Cramer and the town of Cramerton, North Carolina as well as explores Cramer's contributions to the textile industry with the development of air conditioning and army khaki fabric.
Dr. Dixie F. Abernathy is a former public-school teacher, principal, and central office administrator who currently enjoys her work as a professor and Chair of the Cato School of Education at Queens University of Charlotte. Her most prolific author collection includes the numerous novels published under her pen name, Jordan R. Samuel.
