These gents return to Deepdale for their annual visit, and this time in December for an amazing Brick Barn gig, the centre piece of the Deepdale Christmas Party and our annual fundraiser for St Martin's Housing.

Man The Lifeboats began life in a shanty-punk folk moshpit in 2016. Skinny Listerand Holy Moly & the Crackers were the two bands that lit the fire and blew the roof of the Garage that night.
Fast forward 8 years and 100 gigs and counting and Man The Lifeboatsare ploughing their full-throttle folked-up furrow on the festival circuit, winning over audiences at Moseley, Purbeck, Warwick, Swanage, Jurassic Fields, Beardy Folk, Folk in a Field, Bearded Theory, Deepdale, Ragged Bearand more, drawing comparisons to Bellowhead, Waterboys, Oysterband, the Levellers, and those folk-punk heroes the Pogues.
The second album Soul Of Albion hit no27 in the Official Folk Charts in 2022. Recorded at Rockfield Studios, it sounds like Led Zeppelin arm-wrestling Shane McGowan in a Birmingham brewery, like Jimboband Fruitbat fronting Fairport Convention, like The Albion Band turned up to 11 with their fiddles on fire. Tonic for these troubled times.
Food & Drink
This Christmas concert will take place in the Brick Barn, with a bar. Please bring snacks, but not drink as our bar will be serving beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. There may well be dancing, so this won't be a seated event. The Nest will be onsite, serving their delicious cakes, savoury options, and of course their warming hot drink selection.
Fundraising
During the evening we'll be fundraising for St Martin's Housing, a local charity that we have supported for many years, helping the homeless build a better life in Norfolk. There will be a Raffle, Quiz Sheet, and most importantly a Christmas Jumper Flash Mob, so please bring your favourite Christmas jumper and join in to the group photo during the evening.
