- **Event Description**: High Schools Team Chaplaincy Launch for West Norfolk

Could you be part of a team of local Christians supporting young people and staff in our secondary schools and college?

A broad ecumenical network of Churches are coming together to develop High School Team Chaplaincy across King’s Lynn & West Norfolk: teams of Christians from different local churches who can build trusted, long-term relationships with schools and offer a regular Christian presence alongside students and staff.

Come to our launch evening to hear where the vision has come from, the schools involved, what chaplaincy actually looks like, and how you might get involved.

You don’t need to be ordained, a youth worker, teacher or experienced chaplain. We’re looking for ordinary local people who care about young people, are good at listening and might be willing to give some time - whether regularly or periodically - as part of a wider team.

On the evening we’ll cover:
• what chaplains might actually do in schools
• training, safeguarding, support and expectations
• what schools are asking for and how teams will work with them
• a taster of chaplaincy training
• how to explore getting involved

Coming along doesn’t commit you to anything.

If you have even a small sense that you might be interested in occasionally being part of a team going into one of our local secondary schools or college, this is the place to find out more and ask your questions.

📅 Thursday 22 October | 7–9pm
📍 St Faith’s Church Rooms, Gaywood

This is a collaborative initiative growing out of the Homegrown network from Together Norfolk and Churches Together, bringing churches and partners together around how we can better support children and young people across our area.

Come and discover what Team Chaplaincy could look like - and whether you might have a part to play.
